About Hal Surrat

Hal Surratt, CPA was born in High Point, grew up in Jamestown, and now lives in Trinity. He graduated from Ragsdale High School and later attended and graduated from UNC-G with a degree in Accounting and a triple minor in Spanish, Philosophy, and American History. In his early career years, he worked in several businesses as an internal accountant, as well as in restaurants, bartending and cooking.

In 1991, he passed the CPA exam and joined the Army/National Guard the same year. In 1996, Surratt, along with two friends, started their own firm. Soon after, he branched out to start his own tax preparation and consulting practice. He built his business from the ground up and, in 2007, incorporated the business and moved into a larger office space.

Hal Surratt works long and hard hours to ensure the work is accurately completed. He believes that the best possible outcomes happen with the tailored and detailed work he performs, not just processing standardized tax preparation. Furthermore, he is a director at the Archdale-Trinity SERCO Club, which is a non-profit organization in Archdale helping underprivileged families.
